  • Vologda’s nacropolicemen confiscated large lot of drugs

  • Employees of the Department of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in the Vologda Oblast confiscated over 500 g of hashish and over 98 g of amphetamine (synthetic psychotropic substance) as a result of operational search actions in the regional capital on February 19.

    “The drugs were intended for distribution in the city and in the region. Five persons were detained in the course of this operation. Two of them, permanent residents in the Leningrad Oblast, brought large quantities of drugs to Vologda and there they were bought and further sold by three local inhabitants making common cause”, explained Sergei Yakovlev, colonel of the police, deputy head of the Department of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in the Vologda Oblast.

    Suspects were arrested shortly after the criminal bargain had taken place. Drugs were found in the course of body search and examination of the car in which the residents of the Leningrad Oblast had come to Vologda.

    Besides, on February 20, in the course of the search, narcopolicemen found 10 bushes of hemp growing in flowerpots in the place where one of the Vologda’s participants of this criminal business lived. Criminal proceedings have been initiated, investigation is being conducted.
