  • Medical institutions of Vologda and Cherepovets will get 40 new emergency ambulances

  • Acting Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov started the second stage of the federal project “New First Aid and Emergency” in the Vologda region.

The autonomous non-profit organization “New First Aid and Emergency” was established to execute the decree of the Russian President “On the Improvement of State Policy in the Sphere of Public Health”.

The Vologda Oblast Government signed the agreement with the company in October 2013. This document stipulates renewal of the emergency car fleet under the conditions of public-private partnership.

It is worth reminding that owing to the transmission of the rescue service to the compulsory health insurance system since January 1, 2013, they got an opportunity to renew the emergency car fleet without buying new cars, but by ordering transport services at special organizations. The matter concerns outsourcing (car rental).

20 new ambulances were placed at the disposal of emergency stations in Vologda and Cherepovets in December 2013.

40 new cars were delivered to the Vologda region within the framework of the implementation of the second stage of the project aimed at the renewal of the ambulance car fleet. 16 of them will work in Vologda, 24 - will go to Cherepovets. We have completely renewed the car fleet of the emergency stations in Vologda and Cherepovets”, said Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

Besides, the Acting Vologda Oblast Governor underlined that other districts of the Vologda region will be equipped with new ambulance cars at the next stage of the project.
