  • Czech visa application centre will be opened in Vologda

  • This issue was discussed at the meeting of Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and deputy head of the Moravian-Silesian Region Ivan Strakhon on May 7.

“Our head ardently supports the idea to open the visa application centre in Vologda. It will give a chance to develop tourism relations between the regions. I am very glad that you have supported the introduction of direct air communication between Cherepovets and Prague. I want to say that an important international airport is located in Ostrava. I hope that tourists of Vologda who want to visit our region will be able to go to our region by direct flight once”, underlined Ivan Strakhon.

“I know that you plan to apply to the Ministry of External Affairs of your country. We also need to receive endorsement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Opening of the Czech visa application centre in Vologda will increase the flow of tourists. Residents of Vologda like your country”, noted Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

Cooperation of the Vologda region and the Moravian-Silesian Region began 10 years ago. Today it includes not only tourism, but also other spheres. For example, ferrous metals, lumber and plywood are delivered to the Czech Republic from Vologda. The leading imported goods to the Vologda region are mechanical equipment and optics.
