  • Vologda’s athlete won bronze medal at World Jiujitsu Championship

  • Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) hosted the competitions. Sportsmen under 15 represented over 30 countries of the world there. Anastasia Lysakova, native of Cherepovets, pupil of the Vologda Regional Jiujitsu Federation, was a member of our national team. She took the third place according to the results of the tournament.

“She was in the lead on points, but lost in the last fight with the German athlete because of disqualification. She applied a hold and missed – it is a violation of the rules according to the European standards. The regulations in Europe are a little bit different in comparison with Russia, and though we follow them, this time we didn’t agree”, said Nikolay Volkhin, coach of Anastasia Lysakova.

Now the athlete has a break that will last for two months. Then Anastasia will begin to train. It is worth reminding that she is the winner of this year’s Russian Championship. She won in two categories: in fights and groundwork.
