  • Vologda presents its potential at international travel exhibition

  • Travel agencies of the regional capital will introduce their product lines at the 23rd International Travel Exhibition “INWETEX - CIS Travel Market 2015”. St. Petersburg is hosting it from October 8 to 10.

    This conference is one of the most important professional events of autumn in the sphere of tourism. The most active tour operators, heads of national tourist offices, regional departments of tourism, public figures, employees of museum and universities are taking part in the exhibition. Last year almost 400 companies and organizations from 32 countries of the world and 24 regions of Russia joined in the forum.

    The travel agency “Piligrim” is one of the participants of “INWETEX - CIS Travel Market 2015” that is representing Vologda and the region. It will introduce three directions of its work in St. Petersburg: organization of festive tours, including the ones within the framework of the concept “Vologda - New Year’s Capital of Russian North”, classical familiarization tours of the region and implementation of the new project of educational tourism for pupils.

    This exhibition is held every year to expand and to strengthen active business and cultural ties with representatives of the enterprises of travel industry of St. Petersburg, the Northwestern and other regions of Russia, the CIS countries and the far abroad.

    “Participation in such events is of image or presentation character. First of all, representatives of Vologda are aimed at the search of new partners and expansion of their customer base. Taking into account that the event is being held in St. Petersburg, the interest of our travel agencies is to increase the tourist flow from the Baltic States and Scandinavian countries”, said Svetlana Molodtsova, executive director of the travel agency.

    According to the specialists, about two thirds of all business contracts in the sphere of tourism are established thanks to participation in such professional events. The travel agencies of Vologda intend to find new partners in the persons of large national tour operators that reoriented to domestic market in view of the changed economic situation.
