  • Artist Nina Budyonnaya will present carpets in Vologda

  • The exhibition “Carpets-Fantasies” will be opened in the Museum-Creative Centre “Korbakov’s House” on October 30. Visitors will be able to see 14 works of Nina Budyonnaya, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, daughter of legendary Soviet military commander Semyon Budyonny.

    Nina Budyonnaya is an amateur artist, literary man and journalist. She invented the method of execution of her works by means of experiments. Ironic parody of everyday situations and festive atmosphere dominate in the invented subjects of her hand-made carpets. For example, Zeus in the image of a bull, Mstislav Rostropovich among village singers, son-in-law Petya in company with Turgenev and Nekrasov.

    The display will be open at 13 Oktyabrskaya Street from October 30 to December 5.
